Very lovely. It is comforting to imagine each of us might move through bodies and lives… experiencing living and dying from different perspectives. I love the way you drop into such a deep metaphor from this tiny object. I also appreciate the way you’ve bound together love and grief. If you’re interested in exploring that more, please read my piece about it. https://wendygolden2.substack.com/p/the-sparkly-little-elephant?r=3jyto&utm_medium=ios

Love and grief are two sides of the same coin. The more we love the more we grieve. And each time we feel a wave of grief it is also a surge of love. I’ll check out your piece too. Thanks for sharing. 💙

How seldom do we really take a moment to reflect, and understand the beauty of life. This butterfly is but the perfect example. I feel completely different after reading this piece, I’ll never forget it, because it has changed my life; it has allowed me to fathom the intricacies of life and its inherent value.

Aww this was adorable! Cos honestly, imagine someone acknowledging the beauty in the broken pieces of you! And honoring life after death, knowing butterflies symbolise transformation and setting it free - such a spiritually driven act of gratitude. Beautiful 🦋
